My photo
J Haas
I battled ulcerative colitis for almost two decades, and when I thought I had it licked, up showed dysplasia. As a result, we elected for the JPouch surgery. These are my thoughts as I prepared and received the takedown surgery, as well as the ultimate removal to a permanent ileostomy. I'm also trying to include pre-pouch stories as well: While it's nice to get off your chest, there was more than one other person suffering from this disease that has helped me through my times. Hopefully, this can help one person to help pay it forward.
